Wienco Fibres produces a range of products based on a natural and renewable raw material: the coconut husk.The fibres coming from the coconut husk are very strong and rotproof. This is the best fibre used in fields where resistant and 100% environmentally friendly fibres are needed.
Wienco Fibres extracts such fibres from coconuts collected in the plantations surrounding its factory, in Ghana, where there is the highest coconut trees population in West Africa. The process used is unique, and makes fibres particularly clean and unsalted.
With these fibres,WiencoFibres manufactures its WiencoTex®, which is an Erosion Control Blanket, used to stabilise, revegetate slopes and control erosion.
Another product based on the processing of these coconut husks, is the WiencoSubstrate®. This is a substrate specially designed for greenhouses cultures, to be used in grow bags. The process includes a washing with clean water as well as a chemical treatment to bring it to the highest quality standard.
